Fancy Gadam - no no no for unsung category?

I was excited when I saw appeal for vote by Fancy Gadam and his fans on social media to secure him a nomination in the unsung category at the VGMA. This propelled me to confront him on the matter. In an interview, he admitted to posting the appeal for vote on social media.
He also stated that he had the highest number of vote as at 5:12pm on the 23-march-2014.
One could not help but realized his energy and surety to be nominated in the category. This is a young and a very talent artist who has won the heart of resident in Tamale including the young, the old and most specially the ladies with his artistic style and melody.
I was however surprise when the nominee list was out and his name was nowhere to be found. What could have made his leading votes drop to no count? I asked my self… Then these words pinched me in the brain. {People of Tamale Don’t like to Vote}
 Supporting our own has always been a problem, not that we don’t like our artist… we do!  We are not just ready to sacrifice for them.
Nice try Fancy Gadam…Hope to see you next year on VGMA stage….

Concerning her six (6) nominations at the VGMA, She was optimistic of carrying some awards home at the close of the event in April.

She however, divulged her long awaited invite from event organizers from the northern Region to come rock the people of the north with her entertaining performance.
“Since no one is inviting me to the northern Region, I have decide to come on my own with the ban, and we will be touring the northern region this year” she concluded.

CHARTERHOUSE BLACKLIST TAMALE

Last years VGMA was a big deal for the people of Tamale considering the fact that their own was nominated in the Traditional song of the year category and the opportunity to host the VGMA nominee jam for the first time in the metropolis.
 Artist in Tamale where thrilled about the recognition of northern music by the VGMA board and that it may be their stepping stone to getting recognized and making it big like their counterparts in the southern part of the country.
However, this long dream was cut short after that incident at the VGMA nominee jam at the Tamale sports stadium… Sunday April 6, 2014.  Fans of sarkodie grew wild and where in divergence with the police which brought the program to a close. It was a miracle that a life was not lost. conversely, equipment’s of the organizers (Charterhouse) where destroyed and some of their Team members injured.
A staff of charterhouse at an event this year disclosed to me that the events house after the VGMA nominee jam incident sat in a meeting and came to the resolution that Tamale should be blacklisted in any of their events including the VGMA.
He also added that charterhouse earlier had intention of scheduling a big event in Tamale every year but the incident changed all that.
Could last years VGMA nominee jam be the first and the Last Jam the people of Tamale will witness?
