The brouhaha over foreign traders
engaged in retailing has been a bone of contention in some parts of the country
for some weeks now; this triggered a press release by the Tamale branch of
GUTA, giving authorities a two week ultimatum to take action on foreign retail
traders or they will hit the street in demonstration.
To prevent attacks on foreign
traders as witness in other parts of the country, Diamond City Jam (Drive Time
Show) of Diamond 93.7 Fm Hosted by Samed Gaida Original Soundboy engaged the
two parties in a dialogue live on air to help resolve the issue and prevent any
form of lawlessness.
Both parties where able to agree
on issues and promised the public a peace resolution of the issue.
Once you have dialogue starting, you know you can break down
prejudice.. (Harvey Milk).
